A 22-year-old student teacher at a Texas high school is facing serious legal consequences after admitting to having a sexual relationship with a teen boy she once taught. Darian Christine Rogers has been charged with a second-degree felony for an improper relationship between an educator and a student, according to arrest records.

Authorities say Rogers first met the teenage boy while they were both employed at a local grocery store. Their relationship allegedly turned sexual after she began working as a student teacher at Rouse High School in Leander — a city located just north of Austin — earlier this year.

According to court documents, the allegations came to light in April when another student came forward, claiming to have "personal knowledge" of the inappropriate relationship between Rogers and the minor.

Rogers reportedly told investigators she viewed the teen “as a little brother,” despite later admitting to engaging in sexual activity with him. The case has sparked renewed concern over safeguarding practices and the monitoring of student-teacher relationships within schools.
